Postgraduate
Postgraduate coursework degrees are intended for students wishing to expand on their undergraduate learning, undertake specialised research, gain an advantage in their career, or make a career or vocational change. You can even apply for postgraduate theological studies after completing a bachelor degree in a non-theological field of study at any recognised university. Theological study can form an important complement to teaching and social work qualifications obtainable from various universities, just to name two examples. Postgraduate coursework study leads to the awards of Graduate Diploma of Theological Studies, Master of Theological Studies, and Master of Divinity. Thereafter you may pursue higher research towards a Doctorate (PhD or ThD).
Completion of a Bachelor of Theology degree may qualify you to progress to a Bachelor of Theology (Honours) or a Master of Theology. Thereafter you may pursue higher research towards a Doctorate (PhD or ThD).
St Andrew’s also offers supervision for Sydney College of Divinity higher research awards in selected disciplines. Application and enrolment for higher research awards is made directly through the Office of the Dean of the Sydney College of Divinity:
